Dr. Braun received her M.D. degree from the medical College of Georgia and completed her dermatology residency at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Dr. Braun belongs to several societies in the region and nationwide- Pennsylvania Medical Society, Pittsburgh Academy of Dermatology, Fayette Country Medical, American Academy of Dermatology, and American Society of Dermatological Surgery.
Among the many skin diseases which Dr. Braun is qualified to treat, she also takes care of commonly occurring conditions such as skin cancer, acne, eczema, warts, and nail disorders. Dr. Braun is trained to listen, teach, diagnose and treat patients of all age groups. She has a holistic approach to managing skin conditions, and preventive care is an important part of her practice.
Dermatologists are physicians whose expertise is in matters associated with the skin. They spend an additional four years after graduating from medical school specializing in everything relating to the skin. There are over 5,000 different skin diseases and tumors which a dermatologists must identify and treat.
